it helped in making me critically think about a question I would not normally answer. I did not put a great deal of explaining my reasoning, but I felt I answered all of the assignments thoroughly and gave my opinion and tried to back it up. I feel this is much better then writing many essays because the topics were not dull and pointless overall I feel the blog helped in type='text'>Food Inc

After watching food inc. I was almost disturbed as to how miss treated the animals were that people ate. Finding a chicken coupe more then to its max capacity made me feel bad for the animals. Often many of the workers were shown in a financial debt from the food companies, I just find that wrong that the food companies have no regrets to the animals or people they mistreat. If they simply add these hormones to the chickens and other animals to the point that they can not walk what does that mean we would be eating. If they have hid all of this from us what else have they managed to hide. the fact that the fda hides many of the issues from public really to me seems weird almost as if some fda members are paid from these companies to lie to the public. This movie touches on so many controversial issues with food I really feel they almost just skim the surface. How most of are food and drinks are made of corn. How fertilizers are used in are vegetables. How the vegetables have had some type of ecoli outbreak at least every other year. How cows are forced to eat corn instead of grass which effects their digestion and other bodily functions. I think anyone that watches this movie will be shocked with just how severe it is becoming and open the publics eyes.

Blog response

With immigration becoming more of an issue throughout the years it is obviously causing more issues then just people moving into the country. This blog talks about the immigrants that often are victims of crimes. Nearly ten thousand immigrants with a U visa are now going to have relief and help from the U.S, government. Many federal workers are being trained in fifty cities to help train the immigrants who are moved away after the crime. Some of the immigrants or foreigners on the show had the average job. Cashier or middle man simply. They did not sit at the top of the pay scale and most were not the lowest. The reason for this is because most of them said they worked as much as possible to try to get ahead and get bumped up a spot. Many though were unnoticed and just a number in the company. Then when the boss reveals his identity typically he or she gives the worker some type of raise, or help.

The Border Patrol State

As sad as this story was I am almost positive it still happens, and maybe has even become worse with border patrol. They simply profile every person they see and look for someone who is supposed to look 'Mexican'. I find that very hard to believe doing this as their job is very fair to anyone of a none fair skin color. As sad as the matter is that even American born Mexicans I am sure still to this day do not feel the most comfortable in their home.
This story was sad on many levels, most the way they treat the dogs and the people. I guess how they are trained makes them heartless robots. It really does not make sense though because you have border patrol keeping people out. Then you have immigration bringing people in. America needs to find a way to help out Mexican Americans and Americans who have both lived in this country their whole life, to simply make them feel not so enclosed by the government. If we do not do something in the near future I feel a riot or something worse will happen causing more problems to a problem that can be fixed.

My learning style

Alright lets face it I wasn't that shocked I am social. I like people always have I enjoy talking to people. I know it has been something I have always been good at talking, understanding, and helping people it is simply something I enjoy doing. I always have done better working in a group because I tend to focus more then I do listening to just a professor no offense. Sometimes people drive me insane, but I am sure everyone has those days. I was shocked to see not many people in our class were not social, well not really because no one participates. Overall it was a weird test, but it showed how accurate it was with some people.

College how it really is

My first week of class was interesting trying to learn new people and a new system. Obvious difference is the work load. High school was easier because you were given an assignment at least once or twice a week if that. Test were also prepared by the teacher and you studied for them. College you are almost always going to have some type of work at least every class. One thing I really noticed is the reading load has become a lot more. High school you really didn't have to read or study much to get a good grade. In college it is obvious if you don't read and study you will fail. High school was more rules as to what you can and can not do college is more of its on you to do the right thing. No one baby sits you or holds your hand you either do good or party. College is also more freedom, but everyone treats you like an adult instead of a kid. I like having a syllabus for school it helps keep me structured and that is what I like. Assignments can be more basic, but can also be a lot more work. Papers are more frequent and writing and reading is almost a given.

How I read?

When I read which is rare it for some reason never seems to be a book, most of the time it is a new car or car audio magazine. For some reason I have not been able to find a book that really draws me in. I don't think it helps that I also work part time and am taking twenty credits. When I do read my car magazine though I normally flip through all of the ads and try to find a good article. Typically they are comparisons or reviews of cars, but none the less still reading. Typically I read it when I receive the magazine, but if not I wait a day or two. Where I read is typically in my room on my couch, or just somewhere around my house where I can be alone or quiet. Since I do enjoy these articles and magazines I could sit somewhere for hours on end without even realizing it. My comprehension for magazines for some reason is so much better then any other book I have read. I think my intension span just can not stay with a book it seems. I do enjoy reading at times I just wish my mind would be able to focus more on a good book.

I thought everyone got off the fast food diets??

With all of the upgrades going on around campus you would think the whole green campus idea would go along with the food too. From Chick Fillet, to Johnny Rockets, Dunkin Donuts and Primo's Pizza. I soon became lost in the greasy, salty, and fat filled food. Now lets be honest most of us probably aren't health experts myself included, but I know I do not wanting to be eating fast food all of the time. As beautiful as the Student Center is I became somewhat annoyed that they didn't consider to put some type of salad or sandwich station. I feel they really lost points on variety because they obviously only cared about there wallets and not what went into everyones stomach. I know if I eat food like that all of the time my stomach would blow up or somewhere else. N wing's food though I have seen is much better for you of course in moderation. They have all of the stuff the Student Center has, but all you can eat (can be good or bad). I forgot to mention they also have healthy foods that are not cooked with fat or salt. Things such as salads grilled chicken and other things that wont kill your stomach. I do have a problem with N wing though is the quality and freshness does not seem to be up there. Everything in a sense had a stale look or taste to it and typically is very bland. If your looking to feel like crap the Student Center is your best bet. If you wanna try to eat healthy go to N wing. The atmosphere Stockton provides though is a definite above what I would consider to be at the college level, it feels more as if your at a food court or hang out for college students. I don't feel like I am at a high school where its feels all old and bland with mean old lunch ladies. Everyone is very friendly that works. I would consider there being some inconvenience with the times N wing is open and closed. The portions in the food Court and N wing are well grand to say the least in my opinion, some people may feel otherwise though. It is a definitely Stockton needs to improve on some things because they are not up to par with a lot of other colleges in health taste and quality from what I have seen, but atmosphere and helpfulness I give Stockton an A+.
